Fresno State Offering Certificate Program in Financial Planning |
Want to become a Certified Financial Planner™ Practioner? Already a CFP®, but would like a review course on a certain component? The Department of Finance and Business Law of the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno will offer a Certificate Program in Financial Planning that fulfills the educational component of the CFP® certification. They are also offering this program to current CFP®’s who would like a refresher course on a specific topic.
Candidates for CFP® Certification must take all six courses. Each course is taught within a 4-week term, meeting 3 hours on Friday evening (6 p.m.-9 p.m.) and 7 hours on Saturday (9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m.) each week, totaling 40 hours per course. Candidates who complete the six courses in sequence, who receive at least “C” from each course, and who maintain an overall GPA higher than 2.5 will complete the Program in eight months. Current CFP®’s can audit one or more classes for a special discounted price.

FPA Nevada Presents "Sin City Symposium" |

The Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association would like to invite members of the Financial Planning Association of Central California to the first annual Sin City Financial Symposium to be held on September 19, 2008 at the Flamingo Hotel and Resort on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip. And of course, members get the FPA discount price. The early-bird registration ends on August 22.
